Biography
Norris Medley is the founder and CEO of The Wolves Den Combative Training Group and Point of Impact Protective Services, LLC. Norris Medley is a former Marine who's combative training and experience has been garnered from a variety of sources since 1992. Having spent time overseas and operating as part of a Marine Corps Security Force on a Naval Nuclear Weapons Station, Mr. Medley began his formal martial arts training while stationed in Japan. Upon returning to the States he continued to train in various forms of empty hand combative training to include Judo, Muy Thai, Filipino knife/stick fighting and Jujitsu. Mr. Medley's combative baseline is rooted in Judo with studies of other systems as peripherals.
Mr. Medley is a certified firearms instructor and certified range safety officer. Mr. Medley is certified to teach CPL (concealed pistol license) classes in all states that issue concealed carry permits. While teaching basic pistol handling courses, he has also trained and received certification to teach basic shotgun and rifle courses. Mr. Medley is also certified by the AMA (American Medical Association) in basic search and rescue procedures via natural or man made disasters. Mr. Medley is trained and certified in the use of less than lethal tactics (chemical munitions), breach tactics and has a Degree in Criminal Justice. Mr. Medley's personal protection business has provided services ranging from serving high risk PPO's (personal protection orders) via court orders, to providing security at large venues, night clubs, movie sets, and bodyguard services.
Mr. Medley's current training regimen is a compilation of weapons, empty hands, combat conditioning and the overall concept of threat management. His clientele include, police officers, security agents, emergency workers and everyday security conscious citizens. He is a firm believer in realistic training and supports this theory by working in the field of personal protection. This knowledge base is passed on to students of The Wolves Den.
